Michele Placido is an Italian actor and director. He studied at the Experimental Film Centre and the National Academy of Dramatic Art Silvio D'Amico' in Rome. He found success when he won a David di Donatella Award for the role of soldier Paolo Passeri in “Marcia trionfale” (1976). Michele Placido has appeared in more than 100 film and television series including the hit series “La Piovra,” “The Unknown Woman” and “The Grand Torino (Il Grande Torino).”
